Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Home Team Education website and services (the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Services. Home Team Education, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial literacy education.

Eligibility

Our Services are designed for users of all ages interested in financial literacy education. However:

• Users under 13 years of age must have verifiable parental consent to create an account and use our Services
• Users between 13 and 18 years of age are encouraged to review these terms with a parent or guardian
• Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's use of our Services

Account Registration

To access certain features of our Services, you may need to create an account. When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Services in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation

Educational Content

Our Services provide financial literacy education for informational and educational purposes only:

• Our content is not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice
• We are educators, not financial advisors or licensed professionals
• Always consult qualified professionals before making financial decisions
• We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee all information is current or error-free

Intellectual Property

All content on our Services, including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, courses, quizzes, and software, is the property of Home Team Education, Inc. or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may access and use our content for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. Any other use requires our prior written consent.

User Content

If you submit content to our Services (such as comments, feedback, or forum posts), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content in connection with our Services. You represent that you have the right to submit such content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

Donations and Payments

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization:

• All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law
• Donation receipts will be provided for your records
• We use Stripe for secure payment processing
• Recurring donations may be cancelled at any time through your account settings
• Refund requests for donations will be considered on a case-by-case basis

Subscriptions

Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscription terms, pricing, and cancellation policies will be clearly disclosed at the time of purchase. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and you will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.

Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOME TEAM EDUCATION, INC., ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND VOLUNTEERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Home Team Education, Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, and volunteers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may also delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease, but provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property rights and limitations of liability) will remain in effect.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved in the courts of Minnesota.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
